Beiried (Roastbeef)

Usually "Beiried" is called "roast beef" in Austria. It's the cut of the beef between rib and hip.

But this Beiried I ordered in a motorway restaurant in Upper Austria. It was written "Beiried vom Schwein", so it was more a "roast pork" than a "roast beef", althought it had the title "Beiried".

As you can see the meal was quite simple. No rice, no fries, no salad, no vegetables ...
Just the meat. This is the cuisine of the Austrian motorway restaurants.
